The world is reeling from the devastating assassination of Charlie Kirk. A life cut short. A family ripped apart. A nation horrified not only by the shocking scene before our eyes but by the way one moment revealed a societal sickness that was perhaps beyond our estimation.
While most people have responded with appropriate grief and compassion, we’re also hearing some shameful responses. I’m not just referring to those who hated Charlie Kirk or what he stood for. I’m also talking about some of those who loved him and his message. I especially want to draw attention to those who claim to carry the name of Christ but are speaking or acting in ways wholly inconsistent with His character and teaching.

I recently launched The KJV Audio Bible podcast, and Genesis is available to listen to. Before moving on to Exodus, I’m spending more time in Genesis so that I internalize it instead of just reading it. I invite you to join me.Learn more about the traditional text and the KJV Bible.

Jesus descended into Hades. In other words, He died and was buried. What happened next? There’s a school of thought that says Jesus was quite active when He was dead in the grave. But that's just a manmade tradition. The Bible says something different.

I analyze what Jeff Cavins told Jonathan Roumie about what “the church” (not the Bible) teaches about Jesus in Hades (the grave), and I contend that God’s word is a far better source of truth.

I reference my video series on what the Bible teaches about death and hell.

I received a comment on one of my episodes (“Is Pope Francis in Heaven?” https://youtu.be/I13V4Fizc1U) that’s worth addressing. It’s a chance to dig further into the Bible to see whether it teaches that humans existed in heaven before coming to earth.

If you’re a fellow truth seeker and have comments or questions about the origins and pre-existence of humans or related matters, please connect with me.

The tree of the knowledge of good and evil makes for a fascinating study. What kind of knowledge is it? Why didn't God want humanity to have it? Will there ever be an end to evil? If so, how?
I received several excellent questions about the tree of knowledge and want to share my thoughts with all of you. Perhaps they will spark even more great questions.
For reference, read Genesis 2 and 3.

Is Pope Francis in Heaven?

“At 7.35 this morning the Bishop of Rome, Francis, returned to the house of the Father.” (Declaration of the Director of the Holy See Press Office, Matteo Bruni, 21.04.2025)
This statement contains an outright claim, an implied assertion, and a paradigm. We need to examine all of these.
The outright claim is that Pope Francis went to heaven when he died.
The implied assertion is that Francis came to earth from heaven in the first place.
The paradigm is that, for human beings, our location matters more than our status.
For more details on what I discuss in this episode, check out my series on what the Bible says about death and hell.
